WhatsApp back to support link previews in Windows and Mac version in beta. Something that had recently disappeared, but which comes back to the computer applications of the most popular messaging app. Though keep missing in WhatsApp Web.
WhatsApp for Windows and Mac, link previews are back
Ever since WhatsApp’s Windows and MacOS applications hit computers all over the world, the box with previews of shared links was fully supported. But recently the messaging giant seems to have removed some features to be able to implement them calmly after introducing the multi-device sharing.
In fact, WhatsApp no longer requires direct synchronization with your smartphone at all times in order to function. The “multi-device revolution”Seems to have required all the attention of the development team, who would have blocked some features and then returned to add them calmly.
The version 2.2212.1 beta for Windows and Mac instead it reintroduces the functionality, which shows the web page linked in the message in a box where you can find the preview, with the title of the page and any images. Something definitely more intuitive than the usual link, that little says about what you are going to open.
Unfortunately at the moment this functionality continues to missing in the web version application, which no longer has this function from migration to multi-device. Again, we simply believe that WhatsApp stands introducing the features a little at a time. That seems like a good compromise if this avoids bugs and especially problems privacy e safety.
