A new month is upon us and with it the new videogame releases are ready to entertain us and empty our wallets. After a quiet April, May 2022 is set for a rich injection of interesting and potentially fun video games. Between a new Warhammer 40,000the return of Like the Kangaroo and many horror, there is something for everyone!
5 maggio – Trek to Yomi
Trek to Yomi is an action-adventure game that boasts a cinematic style to tell the story of Hiroki as he faces the forces of evil. Witness his heroic return to keep his promise to his master and never kept: to save the people he swore to protect.
Faced with tragedy and bound by duty, the lone samurai must make a journey beyond life and death to face himself and choose his own destiny.
Trek to Yomi is available on PlayStation, Xbox and PC. The game is also included in the Xbox Game Pass.
5 maggio – Warhammer 40,000 Chaos Gate Daemonhunters
Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters is a new turn-based strategy game set in the fantastic world of Warhammer. In this chapter we will lead the Gray Knights, against the forces of Chaos. Armed with faith and protected by devotion, the nature of the Gray Knights sinks into mystery and is founded on brutal executions and memories to be erased. 10 maggio – Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising
And 505 Games e Natsume Atari comes the new side scrolling action RPG Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising. This is the prequel of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes which adds to the mechanics that made the saga great, interesting news such as building your city, fast fights and important aspects of the history of the characters of Eiyuden Chronicle.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising will be available from 10 May on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC.
10 maggio – Salt and Sacrifice
Similar to its predecessor, Salt and Sacrifice is another action RPG but with a macabre and mysterious atmosphere. As a branded inquisitor we will set out for the western frontier to chase, hunt and annihilate the wizards who roam the kingdom.
Create unique weapons and armor using the unclean flesh and bones of the wizards you destroy. Master dozens of powerful weapons and runic arts – “safe” manipulations of corrupted magic wielded by your enemies. Explore a large, labyrinthine world filled with opportunists, secrets, traps, and powerful guardians!
Salt and Sacrifice will be available May 10 on PlayStation and PC (via the Epic Games Store).
12 Maggio – Achilles Legends Untold
From the newborn Dark Point Gamestheir first game arrives Achilles Legends Untold. We are facing an action video game with an isometric camera from above which, as the name suggests, will make us participate in the journey of Achilles who is in the midst of the centuries-old conflict between Hades and Ares. With powerful artifacts and weapons forged by Hephaestus, the god of blacksmiths, Achilles will face all the challenges to create his own myth that will survive for centuries.
The game is heavily inspired by the souls-like genre and old school hack & slash games and we should unleash all our skills to succeed in this epic feat. For those who prefer to fight side by side with friends, the game also offers a solid cooperative experience with procedurally generated dungeons to explore.
Achilles Legends Untold will be released, in early-access, on January 12th on PC
13 Maggio – Evil Dead: The Game
Among the video games released in May 2022 we find Evil Dead: The Game, the horror horror developed by Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games based, needless to say, on the Evil Dead franchise. We are facing a multiplayer PvP video game. Together with a team of 4 survivors, we will have to explore, loot and create all the objects necessary to close the portal between two worlds.
Fight for the forces of good or control the Khandarian Demon to hunt down Ash and his companions by taking possession of the Deadites, elements of the environment and more as you try to suck their souls!
Evil Dead: The Game will be released on PLayStation, Xbox, PC and Nintendo Switch on May 13th.
19 Maggio – Vampire The Masquerade Swansong
Based on the cult role-playing game, Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong is a narrative RPG where each of your choices will determine the fate of the three main characters and that of the Boston Camarilla.
Hazel Iversen, the Swan, is the new Prince of Boston’s Camarilla. Like an iron hand tucked into a velvet glove, she intends to assert her power and respect the Masquerade, the vampire law designed to make sure humans never know about these creatures of the night. But nothing ever goes as planned. With the constant rumors of intrigues, assassinations and power struggles, you will have to work in the shadows to protect your sect in a frantic investigation, which plunges Boston into chaos. With its unprecedented gameplay, Swansong emphasizes the consequences of your actions, both in investigations and in social interactions with other characters. May 20 – Dolmen
Developed by the Brazilian Massive Work Studio, Dolmen is a terrifying new action RPG that combines futuristic science fiction and Lovecraftian cosmic horror.
Dolmen catapult players to a hostile alien planet known as Revion Prime.
The goal is to recover samples of a crystal with absolutely unique characteristics, the so-called “Dolmen”. These crystals allow for the interaction between different dimensions… a property that could revolutionize the concept of space exploration and change the perception of the Universe forever.
Dolmen will be available from May 20 on PlayStation, Xbox and PC.
May 26 – Sniper Elite 5 among the video games of May 2022
The new chapter in the award-winning series, Sniper Elite 5offers unprecedented sniping, third-person tactical combat and an improved killing camera.
Blast your way through maps that are more immersive than ever, with many real-world locations captured in stunning detail and an improved traversal system, allowing you to explore even more. We are in France in 1844 and we have been called to carry out a secret operation of the American Rangers to weaken the fortifications of the Atlantic Wall along the coast of Brittany. Marksman Karl Fairburne thus comes into contact with the French Resistance. He soon learns of a secret Nazi project that threatens to end the war before the Allies can invade Europe: Operation Kraken.

27 Maggio – Kao The Kangaroo
Concludes the video game releases of May 2022, Kao! Directly from the early 2000s, it returns Like the Kangarooprotagonist of the homonymous series of Platform video games.
During his journey Kao will have the opportunity to explore a variety of finely detailed settings and landscapes, each with secrets to be discovered. Kao will encounter new challenges at every turn, having to draw on her skills and learn new ones… Although not all of them originate in the world she lives in! As it is often said: it is not the destination that matters, but the journey.
