What’s more satisfying than slaying demons? Well definitely kill them by listening to good metal music. And it is with this spirit that Metal: Hellsinger was born, a first person shooter characterized by the collaboration with several artists of the heavy metal scene. The game will be released later this year for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S. Today’s news, however, is that a legend of alternative metal joins the Metal: Hellsinger roster: Serj Tankian, iconic voice of System of a Down. Tankian will lend the game an original song called No Tomorrow.
Other artists who will appear in the game are: Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy), Matt Heafy (Trivium), Randy Blythe (Lamb of God). Other names will be announced ahead of the official year-end release.
Metal: Hellsinger welcomes Serj Tankian
As far as we know Metal: Hellsinger will be a Rhythmic FPS in heavy metal sauce, developed by Funcom and The Outsiders. Regarding the collaboration with Tankian, the creative director David Goldfarb declared: “What can I say! We have so many System of a Down fans in the studio that adding Serj Tankian to our already incredible roster of artists is an unreal sensation. He really made the song out of him, as only Serj could have done. We are so thrilled and we can’t wait to let you try this title! ”. No Tomorrow is included in the new game trailer that we publish below.
In Metal: Hellsinger players will have to shoot, sprint and perform finishing moves in time to the music, to the notes of an entirely original metal soundtrack. To defeat the demons you will have 6 heavy weapons, each with its own ultimate. These weapons will become the player’s best friends, who will have to go through hell in a story of revenge against the devil himself (assuming he is a person). To embellish the narration we will find the award-winning voice actors Troy Baker e Jennifer Halewhich give voice to the main characters.
In addition to the main campaign, the game also features the Toment mode, which will consist of a points challenge that will lead to the creation of rankings.
