Google News turned 20: since 2002 it brings the most read news of the web all over the world, and now change look. In fact, a new desktop interface arrives designed to make it easier to use news, whatever your interests.
Google News, a new look to celebrate 20 years of the service
Google News users every month they click on 24 billion news items, arriving at the publishers’ sites (like ours). Local and international news, from technology to sport, passing through any other topic. In 125 countries and with 40 languages several supported.
In 20 years, the information that Google has helped to spread is a lot. And to celebrate this success, the Google News team wanted launch a new desktop interfacewhich makes it easier to find and read the news.
With the new interface, which Google has developed on the basis of the feedback received, it highlights the Main News. On the right you will find a session of Local News, which vary according to the geographic location based on the IP you use. But if you want news from other places (perhaps because you are surfing with a VPN), you can select from the filter in the other from which place you want to receive news.
Scrolling down, you will find the section Choices For You, with some news that Google News suggests based on your browsing and your interests. Further down, you will find the section Yours Subjectswhich allow you to find news based on your expressed interests.
The sections for the Fact Checking and the usual possibility of varying according to the topic. All new features that make it easier and more enjoyable to use the platform to stay informed.
