And starting today, that promise can be considered fulfilled. If you have the right dexterity, you can repair the screens and battery of your smartphones from home.
iFixit, spare parts for Google Pixel arrive
Google ha tweeted that from today you can find spare parts from Google Pixel 2 fine to 6 Pro your iFixit. And the great news is that you can also find them on the European store: an entire section dedicated to ‘googlephones’.
You can then order individual parts or repair kits (which also include the tools to make replacements. And then there is no shortage of step-by-step guides for which the site has achieved international fame for technology lovers.
The official parts only cover models after 2, but you can find after-market parts for the Pixel original and even i old Nexus.
With the arrival of these parts, along with iFixit tools and guides, the choice is whether you rigate it screen or break the USB-C port will no longer have to: either repair in the shop or throw away your smartphone.
