Good news for all Apple users: according to Mark Gurman, the new Apple Watch 8 will have a body temperature sensor able to measure fever. More specifically, it seems that the function is able to detect a peak in temperature, and to suggest talking to a doctor or using a thermometer. But let’s find out more about one of the options most awaited by users.
Apple Watch 8: the body temperature sensor finally arrives
Once again Mark Gurman reveals a preview of an Apple novelty. According to reports, the company’s new smartwatch will have a body temperature sensor, currently being tested. Once overcome, we could finally see it integrated into the long-awaited Apple Watch 8. An anticipation that also seems to be confirmed by the analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, which believes the sensor will make its debut later this year. And that’s not all.
Previous reports have speculated that the sensor could also be used for the fertility monitoring. In fact, changes in body temperature could help users understand when they are most likely to become pregnant, as well as predict when they will have their period. At the moment, however, Gurman mentioned using the sensor only for measuring fever, which makes it unclear how this can be associated with cycle monitoring.
Beyond this incredible novelty, there would seem to be no noteworthy details for the new Apple Watch 8. Perhaps, apparently, there could be an improved display in high-end models. For the rest, however, we should wait for an official announcement.
