Google would be thinking of changing the Play Store logo, its virtual store for apps, games and multimedia products. Something that hasn’t happened since 2016: but the logo will remain easily recognizable.

The new Play Store logo will remain a triangle, as happens in the current logo (and also in the one before 2016), with the same color scheme. But the corners are decidedly more rounded, in line with the new Material Design seen in almost all new android icons.
The four colors remain the current ones, but they are closer to the colori ‘base‘ by Google, which has been using since the first Google Search logo. So green and blue are less cold and bright than current icons. Furthermore, Google has distributed the colors so that they occupy the same area, albeit with different shapes: no one predominates over the others.
It is currently only available the low resolution icon. But even if not very defined, you can see how the colors are first of shades: an even simpler icon and in line with what is seen with all the other Google products.
You can already find this icon when you make transfers with Google Pay by purchasing something on the Play Store, but at the moment Google hasn’t implemented it anywhere else (so much so that the fact that it’s on Pay seems to be a carelessness of some engineers.
At the moment it is not clear when Google wants to introduce the new logo, but perhaps it will be in the coming weeks with the launch of some of the products introduced at the Google I/O 2022. Vwe will keep you informed about it.
