After launching the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air with M2 chip, Apple seems ready to release new models of its notebooks on the market between 2022 and 2023. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, in fact, the Cupertino company intends to launch the new MacBook Pro M2 Pro e M2 Max already from this Autumn.

The 14-inch and 16-inch Pro models with the more powerful M2 processors are already in the works, according to Gurman. Apparently, the overall design and features of the notebooks “will probably remain more or less the same”, even if they come with new chips, theM2 Pro and theM2 Max. What should we expect from processors? According to the expert, “most of the attention will be on the graphics side, just like with the standard M2“. Beyond that, the M2 chip benchmarks show that its single-core performance is about 11.56% faster of the M1 chip, while the multi-core performance is increased by about 19.45%.
Specifically, Gurman believes the MacBook Pro M2 Pro and M2 Max will focus on the graphics side, which could be great for professional users who need to perform more demanding tasks with editing video, coding and more. Finally, an indication on the launch date of the new notebooks, which could be set tbetween Autumn 2022 and Spring 2023. Although, according to the expert, “given the continuing challenges of the supply chain, it is difficult to predict exactly when they will arrive on store shelves”. Still, a launch date seems to have already been predicted by one of the industry’s leading experts.
