Apple rilascia iOS 15.6 (e porta novità anche sull'app TV) thumbnail

Apple releases iOS 15.6 (and brings news to the TV app too)

Apple has started releasing a series of updates to all of its devices – they’re on their way iOS and iPadOS 15.6, watchOS 8.7, tvOS 15.6 and macOS 12.5. But since in a few months we should see the new versions, there are many small innovations rather than great revolutions.

Apple releases iOS 15.6, along with updates for all operating systems

The update that comes after the official announcement of the new operating systems is never particularly succulent. Apple has put all the big news in the iOS, iPadOS and tvOS 16, in watchOS 9 and in macOS 13. After slowly pitting all the news announced last year, this latest update usually increases overall stability and fixes a few issues.

In this case, however, there are small interesting news, especially with regard to the TV app both on computer and on mobile.

Among the news we see:

  • iOS and iPadOS 15.6: Ability to stop, resume, rewind, forward and restart a sport event in the TV app. Also come some bug fixes for Settings, Mail and Safari
  • macOS 12.5 brings the same update for the TV app and a bug fix for Safari
  • watchOS 8.7 introduces improvements, bug fixes and important security updates
  • tvOS 15.6 improves overall performance and stability

In addition, as always, there are several security updates to fix vulnerabilities that are always good to download.

As you can see, the only real news concerns the vision of sport on Apple products. Something they are investing heavily in in Cupertino, given the recent millionaire purchases of the rights to some of the most important competitions in the United States.

Updates should happen automatically, but you can speed up the process on iPhone by going to Settings, General and then Software Update. S.on the Mac, go to the menu instead Apple, System Preferences and then Software UpdateAnd. The rollout may take some time: if you don’t find them right away, try again after a couple of hours.
