Less than two years after its debut, Meta he decided to permanently close its function of Live Shopping su Facebook. The announcement comes directly from the company through a post published on its official website. According to what has been revealed, the service will stop working as of October 1, 2022. Goodbye Facebook Live Shopping
As of October 1, users they will no longer be able to host events Facebook Live Shopping new or scheduled. Facebook Live it will continue to workbut it will no longer be possible create product playlists o tag products in Facebook Live videos. In the official post, Meta stated:
“As consumer viewing behaviors are shifting towards short-lived videos, we have therefore decided to shift our focus to Reels on Facebook and Instagram.” Also in the post Meta suggests users to try to tag products in Reel on Instagram as a possible replacement.
