Electronic Arts (EA) today announced the roadmap of its eSports competitions branded FIFA 23, brand new chapter of the famous videogame franchise. Between teams and pro-players who will compete and spectators ready to follow the games on Twitch, the new competitions represent a new competitive season. And the offer is really vast: from 2v2 to 1v1 in the various national leagues to get to the World Cup. Let’s find out together what awaits us in this new and exciting competitive season.
All FIFA 23 eSports competitions
Below are the different competitions announced and where to follow them:
- EA SPORTS Cup: Players representing the world’s leading esports organizations and professional soccer teams will compete in a competition 2v2 for three months. It begins on October 17th and ends on January 21st 2023 with the crowning of a champion and the selection of the two teams will advance to the FIFAe Club World Cup 2023 presented by EA SPORTS.
- FGS 23: the traditional competition is backand 1v1. Players will compete in the Road to the FIFAe World Cup 2023. The online tournament begins today, September 27, with the launch of the Ultimate Edition of FIFA 23. Matches begin with the FUT Division Rivals and the top finishers enter one of five FGS Regional Online Qualifiers.
- National competitions FGS 23: the biggest and best eSports football tournaments are returning to FGS 23, including ePremier League, Virtual Bundesliga, eLaLiga Santander, eLigue 1 Uber Eats, eMLS, eSerie A TIM, KPN eDivisie, CONMEBOL eLibertadores and eChampions League. The partners of the remaining football leagues will be announced very soon.
- FIFAe World Cup 2023: The 24 best players of the FGS Playoffs, representing the best stars of FGS 23, will compete in the FIFAe World Cup 2023, where only one will be named world champion. The competition will be held next summer.
The FGS 23 online qualifiers and majors are officially presented by PlayStation and will be played exclusively on the PlayStation 5 console. All matches will be broadcast live on EA Sports’ Twitch channel.
