Our review of the Xiaomi 12T Pro
As anticipated, this intriguing smartphone boasts a 200 Megapixel main camera lens, a very high number compared to competitors on the market but what does it entail? And will the rest of the features live up to the title of “Top of the Range”?
But first, let’s start in order.

Design
Over the years Xiaomi has accustomed us to a truly excellent level of design and engineering and this year too, the high standards are maintained. This Xiaomi 12T Pro maintains the minimalist design but at the same time well characterized. Lo smartphone ha important dimensions, 163.1mm x 75.9mm x 8.6mma must when you also have to deal with a broad display AMOLED da 6,67″ for a weight of 205g. Despite its size, the smartphone turned out to be handy and not at all heavy even using it with one hand.
The back features a satin black that leaves no possibility of existence to the footprints (thanks Xiaomi). At the top right we find the large rectangular sector dedicated to cameras and divided on two levels. First we find the two 8MP + 2MP sensorstogether with the flash and then, on the most protruding side, a large square porthole that houses the 200MP main sensor (which we will talk about later).

Technology
Even inside the Xiaomi smartphone it offers the best. In fact, under the body we find a Snapdragon 8+ processor of the first generation, the last and the most performing ever released. In support we have 8 o 12GB in RAMdepending on the version we choose, which can be increased in the settings by sacrificing part of the internal memory. The latter can be of 128GB or 256GB not expandable. From the point of view of connectivity, on the other hand, we find all the latest and most efficient technologies such as the Bluetooth 5.2, 5G support, Wi-Fi 6 and NFC support.
All this is supported by a broad 5,000mAh battery con 120W HyperCharge ultra fast charging support.
200 megapixel camera
A separate paragraph should be made for the camera, the spearhead of this smartphone that allows it to stand out from the crowd. The main camera mounts a sensor Samsung Isocell HP1 da 200 MP which offers truly exceptional resolution with vibrant and crystalline colors. This sensor uses all the most innovative software from Xiaomi such as the Xiaomi ProFocus con Motion tracking focus e Motion capture which allows you to keep the focus on the person or main element. Not even one is missing Night mode really efficient for both photos and videos. The latter can be turned into 8K and the Xiaomi 12T Pro also supports the HDR10 + quality.
In support of this Mega (it should be said) sensor, even if the comparison does not hold up, we find two 8MP sensors, for the ultra-wide camera and a 2MP Macro-camera that all in all, do their duty. The front camera is instead of 20 MP.
Our test of the new Xiaomi 12T Pro
For this review, we tested the new Xiaomi 12T Pro for about two weeks during which it accompanied us daily. To test his potential to the fullest and stress him, we took him on a trip with us to Munich, precisely for the presentation of the Xiaomi Mega event.
Here we have had the opportunity to test the top of the Xiaomi range and spoilers, we were very happy with it. The presence of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 processor makes any action extremely smooth and smooth, be it working, exploring social networks or playing the most challenging video games. Any action we have taken has been done in the best way, with no hitches or slowdowns.
Particularly interesting and surprising were the double speakers made in collaboration with Harman Kardon, the American company specializing in audio devices. The sound, in addition to being high and well calibrated, is crystal clear, ideal for transforming this “small” smartphone into an entertainment system.
Equally commendable was the autonomy of the 12T Pro, supported by a large one 5,000 mAh battery. Beyond the great duration that has allowed us easily to get to the end of the evening despite intense use (from 6 to 7 hours of screen on), 120W fast charging allows you to charge your smartphone from 0 to 100 in about 20 minutes. A truly exceptional result!
The camera in the field
Obviously we also went wild from a photographic point of view. The perfect mix of Xiaomi’s advanced sensors and software, they gave us interesting and high quality shots.
The nerve center of our tests was obviously the main 200MP target that accompanied us around Munich. From the shots you can see the quality of the colors and images in the presence of a lot of light, essential if you want to get the most but at night?
The night mode left us particularly surprised and allowed us to take shots even with great scarcity of light. Not surprisingly, Monaco has been reducing public lighting for some time to cope with the current energy situation, but this was not a problem for the Xiaomi 12T Pro.

The zoom level up to 5X and up to 10X digitally is also good. Obviously at the highest level the quality level drops rather abruptly but overall the result is respectable.

The Xiaomi 12T Pro managed to prove itself up to the situation by allowing us to do the maximum without having to worry about autonomy in the least. The 200MP camera turned out to be great although even if it is not far, despite the amount of pixels, from the standards of most of the top of the range out there.
What we would like to praise most is the successful mix of design, performance and autonomy that make this smartphone truly excellent and worth the money it requires. Truly a smartphone for everything and to get the best of everything.
