Despite record revenues and profits, Apple may have blocked hiring, confirming the trend of difficulty of the entire tech sector. According to the latest information, in fact, in the near future there will be no new hires from Apple that could extend the block for the entire fiscal year 2023 which will close next September. Here are the details:
Apple slows hiring due to crisis?
A new report confirms that too Apple would be considering a slowdown or total freeze in hiring. There is no talk, for now, of cuts in the workforce but it is clear that the trend that leads to a stop in investments in personnel has also involved the Cupertino company.
According to a source close to Apple, the company would not have allocated a budget to increase the workforce over the foreseeable future. If confirmed, this is a block on de facto hires that could extend throughout the fiscal year.
An Apple spokesperson commented on the rumors to Business Insider. In this statement, the spokesperson points out: “We are continuing to hire, but given the economic environment we are taking a very deliberate approach in some parts of the business. We are very confident in Apple’s future and are investing long-term. We want to be thoughtful and make smart decisions that allow us to continue fueling innovation in the long term ”.
