Design
As anticipated, the element that immediately catches the eye of this version of the AGON Pro is the style. We are facing a 27″ monitor in which every element, from the base, to the frame and to the back, refers to the Hextech magic of Runeterra. This is reflected in the use of gold and black that is repeated throughout the monitor decorated by the now inevitable RGB lights in WLED. The materials used are of excellent quality and the unmistakable style makes it one of the most particular monitors on the market.
The large round base, which displays the League of Legends logo, allows the monitor to rotate 360°, can be raised up to 130mm and can be tilted from -5° to 23°. This translates into an extreme versatility of the monitor that can be positioned according to our needs and the activity we are carrying out.
The broad QHD flat screen con maximum resolution of 2560×1440allows a clear and complete vision without overdoing it and theanti-reflection (AG) represents a godsend for gamers. The borders are really reduced save for the lower one which shows the AGON logo and other Hextech details. The back of the monitor, also heavily decorated with drawings and other WLED lights, houses the miscellaneous connectors: two HDMI 2.0 ports, two DisplayPort 1.4, four USB 3.2 inputs e a 3.5 mm headphone output. Here we also find a toggle control to manage your display settings.
Inside the package, in addition to the monitor, we also find: a 1.8 m HDMI cable, a 1.8 m display port cable, the power cable. an outgoing 1.8m USB-B cable and an external QuickSwitch remote control to adjust game functions (which we’ll see later).
Technology
Let’s not get distracted by drawings and lights, however bewitching, and let’s focus on what this Monitor has to offer us. The screen boasts a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 and the HDR 400 display offers excellent image quality with truly excellent color, light and dark rendering. The refresh rate is 170Hze the response time of 1ms. This translates into a really good fluidity which we have rarely seen in other gaming monitors.
In support of this we have the compatibility with FreeSync Premium and G-SYNC for some optimal performance without interruption in image renderingextremely important during competitive gaming.
The monitor settings, easily accessible and intuitive to all, allow you to customize not only the play of lights and colors but also the quality of the image according to the type of game being played or the preferences of each of us. Obviously there is no lack of a specific mode for League of Legends which aims to further enhance the wonders that the Summoners’ Rift has to show.
AGON feat League of Legends: GG EZ
The relationship with League of Legends (LoL) is in fact a central point of this monitor. In addition to the aesthetic details that we have seen, the monitor/LoL combination has repercussions on the start-up screen which shows the game logo. In addition, when turned on and off, it will emit sounds that we usually only hear within the League Client.
Thanks to free G-Menu software from AGON, we can take the “dialogue” between the monitor and League to another level. In fact, the software allows you to synchronize the monitor’s WLED lights with the action that is taking place in-game. For example, if we destroy an opponent’s tower, the LED lights will flash simulating the sounds of destruction or more if our Hero should die (of course he will…) a nice red light will appear on the base of the monitor until the resurrection of the champion. These are aesthetic trifles which, against all our predictions, we absolutely loved it.
To these is added the telecomando QuickSwitch, included in the package, which allows you to move quickly between the various settings (customizable) without having to access the menu each time. For example, if you want to dedicate yourself completely to a ranked match and not let yourself be distracted by the lights, one click and it’s done.

Our test of the AGON PRO AG275QXL
To do this review, we tested the new AGON PRO AG275QXL for about a month during which time it replaced our regular work…and play monitor.
Let’s start right away by saying that, from grandi fan of League of Legends, we greatly appreciated the tamarro style and design at the right point. The WLED lights are not many (the large base and two strips on the back) but they manage to fully involve us in the center of the action. What initially seemed like an impossible style to adapt to our room has proved to be perfect thanks to the elegance of black and that touch of gold that never hurts.
The real surprise though was the image quality which, honestly, we didn’t expect. More often than not, peripherals and devices bearing the brand or style of a specific video game focus almost entirely on design, forgetting about technical quality. AGON has been able to focus on both things to present a high quality monitor on the market.
This makes it an excellent purchase not only for playing LoL or whoever for it but also for working, watching movies and thus becoming a monitor for daily use. Icing on the cake? The monitor is Perfectly compatible with Xbox Series X and Series S. On PlayStation 5, quality is limited to 1080p at 120Hz.
E l’audio?
Very small parenthesis on the audio. The AGON PRO AG275QXL, as anticipated, also features two integrated 5W speakers with Digital Theater System. In addition to allowing you to use the monitor without external speakers, it offers a good quality sound but without overdoing it. The bass performance is not the best but the sound has high peaks without a strong distortion. It’s a small compromise that might weigh you down when listening to music or other specific situations, but works great when playing video games.
The AGON PRO AG275QXL gaming monitor review in a nutshell
The AGON PRO AG275QXL monitor was a beautiful, beautiful discovery. We thought that the League of Legends/AGON combination was purely focused on the design which, physiologically, increases the price of the final product. However, in addition to being a fascinating screen from an aesthetic point of view, it brings with it excellent technical quality and image rendering.
Even if the prezzowhich, at the time of writing this review, amounts to approx 599,99€is higher than other competitors, style and screen features make it a must-have for all League of Legends fans.
