Apple has announced the arrival of Self Service Repair in eight European countries, including Italy. Customers can find original replacement parts and tools to repair iPhone 12 and 13, as well as Macs with Apple chips.
Apple Self Service Repair also arrives in Italy
Apple has announced the arrival of spare parts and replacement kits in Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Self Service Repair gives you access to over 200 different parts and tools and repair manuals. You will have the same equipment they use in Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Service Providers.
Jeff Williams, Chief Operating Officer of Apple, explains: ““We believe that the best technology for our customers and our planet is the one that lasts the long term, so we design our products to be robust and rarely require maintenance or repairs. But when a repair is needed, we want customers to be able to choose from many safe and reliable options to fix their devices. That’s why we’re happy to launch the Self Service Repair program in Europe too, which will give you direct access to genuine Apple parts, tools and manuals.”
The parts are tested and perfect for your Mac or iPhone. Likewise, the instruments meet the highest standards of reliability. And they include torque screwdrivers, display and battery presses, and more.
Apple will offer the rental kit for 59.95 euros, so that those who do not want to buy the tools to make a single repair can still have access to these professional tools. However, it should be noted that most users do not have the skills to carry out repairs on such delicate objects. It is therefore advisable to go to specialized centers, otherwise you are experts.
Apple has over 4,000 Independent Repair Providers, 5,000 Apple Authorized Service Providers and over 100,000 technicians. In other words, 80% of users in Europe are less than 30 minutes from an authorized technician.
