The growth of TikTok continues which it now aims to become an increasingly concrete alternative to YouTube. The social network, now a point of reference for millions of users around the world, is testing full-screen videos in landscape orientation. Here are the full details regarding this new feature which, over the course of the near future, should make TikTok even more comprehensive.
TikTok prepares the challenge to YouTube with horizontal videos
As confirmed by the social to TechCrunch, currently We’re testing full-screen landscape videos on TikTok. This test involves a limited group of users and aims to further strengthen the potential of the social network.
TikTok will allow its users to upload videos with a maximum duration of 10 minutes and the possibility of viewing in full screen, with horizontal orientation, exactly as is the case for YouTube videos (which however do not have a duration limit).
The social network means fully support the creation of “long-term” content, one of YouTube’s “specialties” that differentiates the Google platform from other social networks. Therefore, in the near future, TikTok could become more and more a reference for users. We’ll see what the outcome of the test will be and how long it will be necessary to wait for the arrival of the new function.
