ARES, which stands for AR Enterprise Services, is a new augmented reality solution by Snap Inc. dedicated to the corporate world. Thanks to it, companies will be able to easily and scalably integrate Snap’s augmented reality within proprietary (and non-proprietary) channels. This will allow consumers to enjoy immersive and personalized experiences with their favorite brands. All with the support of a suite of advanced tools, specially designed to facilitate purchases.
The current offer of ARES is aimed at the retail sector. Among the first customers who have chosen to adopt the solution we find Goodr, Princess Polly e Gobi Cashmere.
“For the past decade, we’ve been dedicated to developing fun and personalized AR experiences for Snapchatters. Over the next decade, we aim to bring our AR technology to corporate websites, apps and even physical stores,” he said Jill Popelka, Head of AR Enterprise Services di Snap Inc. “We look forward to working to improve the shopping experience for consumers and transform businesses around the world with our enterprise AR services.”
How ARES by Snap Inc. works
By combining Snap’s popular technology (the one that’s all the rage on Snapchat) with technologies acquired in the last two years (including Vertebrae, Fit Analytics and Forma), the system is optimized to be an effective tool for the enterprise.
The first ARES solution is the Shopping Suite. It is a suite of products and services that offers retailers a wide range of features. Among these we find the 3D Viewer, AR Try-On and Fit Finder. Tools that can be integrated directly into apps and websites. The ARES Shopping Suite will be available in the second quarter of 2023 and will enable the use of augmented reality in shopping for clothing, footwear, accessories and furniture. In addition, the Shopping Suite also includes:
- Dedicated services and support: companies can benefit from solid technical support for the implementation of the Shopping Suite services dedicated to the creation of AR assets. These services allow companies to generate digital versions of their apparel products. All through proprietary photogrammetric hardware and a machine learning-based creation pipeline. These allow you to obtain AR assets optimized for the end user experience.
- Enterprise tools to manage assets and integrations: companies can manage and optimize their assets and AR integrations, analyze performance and receive dedicated support for using the Shopping Suite.
- Experience delivery: Businesses can integrate AR technologies Try-On, Fit Finder and 3D Viewer into their apps and websites. In doing so, they can offer consumers the ability to receive accurate fit and size recommendations, try on or view products in augmented reality, and interact with products in 3D.
