In the streets of Liverpool, which know music well, there is a festive atmosphere. The city of the Beatles will be the location that will host theEurovision Song Contest 2023 which, we discover today, will make use of the partnership of TikTok. After all, what better social platform to celebrate music? These days then.
Moreover, TikTok was the home – indeed we could say the springboard – of one of the major protagonists of the last edition, that of Turin. Of course we are talking about Sam Rydersocial media star, who represented the UK at Eurovision 2022, taking second place with his Space Man, between echoes of Freddie Mercury and James Blunt falsettos. A pure talent.
But that was 2022. With already over 7.8 billion views for videos shared with the hashtag #Eurovision, the 2023 edition promises to be mammoth, both live and on TikTok. And the social network, as a partner, will allow everyone to celebrate the competition.
The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 arrives on TikTok: here’s how
In addition to the dedicated hashtag #Eurovision2023, which will collect all the content on the event, fans will be able to keep up to date on the official @Eurovision account. This will showcase exclusive content, including highlights and behind-the-scenes videos from the competing artists. On @Eurovision’s TikTok profile they will also be broadcast all three evenings (the two semi-finals on May 9 and 11 and the Grand Final on May 13).
By the way, ours too Marco Mengoniwho will represent Italy with Due Vite, sent us a message directly from TikTok.
Those who will follow the event in person will be able to benefit from the new feature Visit Liverpool. Through this TikTok it will become a real tour guide to the city of Fab4. Fans will then be able to discover some of the places recommended by the community, such as the iconic Cavern Club, where the Beatles used to perform before global success. Not only: Liverpool is known for its community of buskers and pubs. Visitors will then be able to listen to the many street performers, between one cold beer and another.
On Friday May 12, on the eve of the Grand Final, TikTok will organize a performance with some Eurovision legends at l’Eurovision Village, the official fanzone. The names of the artists involved will be revealed in the coming weeks.
