Just the characteristic temporal location of these two chapters, which are literally at the antipodes of the timeline of the series, makes them distant but at the same time very close. Not only was Skyward Sword the main 3D chapter that preceded Breath Of The Wild (and in fact in it you can see some gameplay elements that formed the obvious foundations for the open world masterpiece that came after), but it was told the genesis of the kingdom of Hyruleas well as the creation of the iconic Master Sword and the exploits of the first Link and the first Zeldawho lived on islands suspended in the sky.

It is, apparently, a prehistoric tribe of warriors already mentioned earlier in the saga but of which very little is known. However, the iconography and structures seem to have elements in common with those of the Twili. Since the latter are descendants of a tribe of wizards originally from Hyrule, but exiled to the Twilight Realm, all this may not be a coincidence, and the new chapter could reveal a connection between these two mysterious peoples.

For example in it they were introduced for the first time the Sheikah people, which later became fundamental in subsequent titles.
