WhatsApp has recently launched the novelty of chat padlock, that is, the possibility of blocking confidential conversations in advance authentication. In this way the chat bloccate they will be removed from the main messaging app list and placed in the dedicated folder.

Through the use of the blocked chats option, on WhatsApp it is possible to keep private the conversations that can only be accessed through an authentication. You will then need to enter a password or biometric data (face or fingerprint) of your device.
Blocked chats will end up in one special folder, contents and senders will come hidden also automatically from notifications, so that they are not accidentally read by anyone without authorization.
In the coming months, the update will expand further, also involving complementary devices. In this way it is possible to synchronize blocked chats on all devices of the same account.

Activating blocked chats in WhatsApp is very simple. Just press and hold on the chat you want to block (groups don’t seem to support this update at the moment) and select the option Padlock. To view the blocked chats you will need to drag the screen down and press on the option. Authentication will be required each time whoever wishes to venture into the folder.

WhatsApp working on editing messages
WhatsApp started working on editing sent text messages on iOS, something users can already do in apps like iMessage and Telegram. Introduced in beta version of WhatsApp for Android, has not yet officially launched the novelty. It looks like the WhatsApp team is still working on it, but this time for the iOS app.
WABetaInfo reports that the latest beta version of WhatsApp for iPhone enables the ability to edit messages, currently only for a small group of users. The feature works similar to what was already implemented in the Android beta: that’s it press a message and tap the “Edit” button. This way you can edit the message within 15 minutes of sending.
