Following the iOS launch in March, Apple Music Classical is now available on Android devices. The app is in fact present on the Google Play Store and is available to all Android users who have an active Apple Music subscription.
A decidedly atypical move by Apple, not so much for landing on a competitor operating system, but for the fact that theThe app comes to Android when it’s not yet available for Mac, iPad and Apple CarPlay. Apple Music Classical was in fact released in March only for iPhone devices.
What is Apple Music Classical, now also on Android
As we reported on the occasion of the launch on the iPhone, Apple Music Classical is a stand-alone music streaming app, entirely dedicated to classical music. It is therefore the version dedicated to classical music of the more mainstream Apple Music.

The catalog currently includes over 5 million songs, performed by the world’s leading orchestras. Listening is in high resolution with lossless audio (up to 192 kHz/24 bit). Just like its pop counterpart, Apple Music Classical supports spatial audio, and the entire catalog is integrated with biographies of great composers and conductors’ notes of individual recorded performances.
To access Apple Music Classical You must have any active Apple Music subscription (except for the Apple Music Voice plan). Therefore, Individual, Student, Family or Apple One plans are eligible.
