Chi lo ha detto che il Tamagotchi è fuori moda? Sta arrivando il nuovo Tamagotchi Uni thumbnail

Who said Tamagotchi is out of fashion? The new Tamagotchi Uni is coming

Difficult to explain what a Tamagotchis to those who have not experienced them. If you are among this group of people, then suffice it to know that in the pre-smartphone era it was one of the favorite games of children. A sort of The Sims-style life simulator, but without PCs and consoles, in black and white, and with only animals. In short, the Tamagotchi was a way to raise (and make them die badly) their virtual pets, using toothpicks to activate the reset button after the inevitable death. Well, they haven’t completely gone out of fashion: it’s coming Tamagotchi Uni!

What is Tamagotchi Uni

Bandai Namco has presented the new Tamagotchi Uni in these hours, which takes up the famous portable game of the pre-smartphone era and brings it to the Tamaverse. The latter, if it wasn’t clear enough from the name, is a metaverse dedicated to Tamagotchi fans.

The new device will have different features and game modes, such as Tama Arena, Tama Parties, Tama Fashion and Tama Travel. Only the Tamarro is missing. Let’s spread a pitiful veil over this pun, just like we would spread it over our tama four-legged friends who died in game.

Wanting to get serious: the Tamaverse will be accessible via Wi-Fi network, allowing the different players to interact with each other. Unlike the classic Tamagotchi, Uni will be wearable on the wrist, just like a smartwatch.

The device will be launched on the market next month, on July 15, 2023in pink and purple colors.
