Hertz opened the new location at port of Genoa and continue with the project Hertz in the City. Located in Piazzale Iqbal Masih near the Ferry Terminal, the office is in a strategic position to reach the central station of Genova Principe, the Cruise Terminal, the Campi commercial area, significantly reducing travel times to the city center, compared to the airport.
Hertz in the City: the increase in travellers
The new Ligurian location is part of the project Hertz in townlaunched by the company in 2021 to facilitate the mobility of travelers in the pandemic period, which has favored a significant increase in rail travelers – thanks also to the development of high-speed rail – pushing growing flows towards city rental locations and thus making them always more strategic.
This, in fact, has become a real trend and in some places more than in others, it represents a new way to travel where long-distance travel takes place with fast and shared transport (plane, train, ship) and car rental to reach the surroundings with maximum freedom and flexibility.
This allows Hertz to accompany Guests to the cities of art and the most beautiful villages in the country. The new Hertz point in the port of Genoa is aimed at both commercial and cruise users and offers large parking spaces that make collection and return operations easier.
