Oppo Reno 10 and 10 Pro they are the new mid-range of the Chinese company and from today you can buy them practically anywhere by taking advantage of the promotions put in place by Oppo.
But what are newcomers like and what do they offer?
In summary, we could say that they combine the iconic thin and light design of the Reno series and the high-level performance to which the Asian company has accustomed us to a a new photographic sector that focuses primarily on portraits. In reality, however, there is much more inside the compact but elegant Reno 10 and Reno 10 Pro.
Focus on the portrait
The real 2023 novelty for the Reno series is l’Ultra-Clear Portrait Camera System.
Both smartphones flaunt a 32 megapixel Sony IMX709 telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom equivalent to a 47mm. We therefore approach the 50mm which is the lens that best imitates human vision and which allows us to bring home natural and realistic photos. The sensor is also able to absorb more light and reduce noise, for convincing photos even in the dark. But that’s not all: you can change the aperture, from F/1.4 up to F/16, to have a natural bokeh effect.
Oppo Reno 10 and 10 Pro also have the 8 megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor in common, while the main one and the front camera change.
The rear triptych of Oppo Reno 10 Pro closes with a 50 megapixel Sony IMX890 with F/1.8 aperture and optical stabilization while the front camera is 32 megapixel, with Sony IMX709 sensor and autofocus.
On Reno 10 instead we have a 64 megapixel OV64B sensor while in front we find a 32 megapixel OV32C.

The other features
Thin, light and with 3D curved glass, both models guarantee good ergonomics. Instead, the colors change: Glossy Purple e Silvery Grey per Oppo Reno 10 Pro e Ice Blue e Silvery Grey per Oppo Reno 10. However, both sport a two-tone design around the camera that uses glass and metal materials, so the area that houses the main sensor is different from that which instead includes the telephoto and ultra-wide angle.
On the front of the device we have instead a 120Hz 3D curved screen with minimized edges. In both cases we have a display from 6.7 incheswhich however is AMOLED on the Reno 10 and OLED on the Reno 10 Pro.
The processors also change: MediaTek Dimensity 7050 5G on the cheaper of the two smartphones, with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 778 5G for the major, with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory.
Both support RAM expansion, but rob GB of storage space.
The software, of course, is ColorOS 13.1 based on Android 13.
What else sets them apart? Well, the battery. Oppo Reno 10 Pro integrates a 4,600 mAh one but sports 80W SuperVOOC fast charging; Reno 10 comes in at 5,000mAh but the SuperVOOC stops at 67W. And yes, they both take advantage of the Battery Health Engine which promises to extend battery life up to 1,600 charge and discharge cycles.
