Elgato’s Stream Deck app that allows you to turn your smartphone into an all-in-one controller becomes free. Let’s see all the details
Elgatoa subsidiary of Corsair and a leading provider of hardware and software for content creators, today announced a major update of the digital version of the popular Stream Deck Mobile app. The app allows you to transform any smartphone into a tactile productivity interface. Thanks to today’s update, it will be possible from today use Stream Deck Mobile for free with an iPhone or iPad up to a maximum of six keys. Other notable changes introduced in the app update include more ways to control your favorite apps and customize the configuration for your users.

Thanks to this new “freemium” app model, Stream Deck Mobile will now be increasingly accessible to millions of customers around the world. Users can get the best of Stream Deck on their iPhone or iPad for free: six keys are included, unlimited actions and hundreds of plugins dedicated to the most popular apps. Also, through the signing up for an optional Pro subscription or a purchaseyou can access advanced features like custom layouts and backgrounds and up to 64 keys: Twice as Elgato’s largest physical device, the Stream Deck XL.
Stream Deck Mobile is now un’app native per iPadOS and takes full advantage of the device’s large display. Thanks to iPad’s native multitasking, you’ll be able to run Stream Deck Mobile alongside your favorite apps and browse websites, or use two Stream Deck Mobile keyboards side by side, allowing accessing as many as 128 keys at once (Pro subscription required).
Personalization, after all, is at the heart of today’s update. Users can then turn on dark mode or the classic one control keyboard rotation and find out plugins and profiles shared by the community on the Elgato Marketplace. And with Stream Deck Mobile Pro they can too change the number and position of the keys. In addition, it is now possible to customize the look of the app with custom masks or images from your camera.
