Salvatore Di Mari, Head of Operations TikTok Italy, explains: “Dancing on TikTok goes beyond the boundaries of the platform: a cultural marker rather than a passing trend. The unique language of movements that characterizes this form of creativity has transformed dance into a participatory experience. TikTok has become an infinite stage that welcomes the largest company in the world: people of all generations, cultures and backgrounds, amateurs and professionals, united by a passion for dance in all its expressions”.
A new audience for the review
The “Dance and Media” event will allow professionals like Lorenzo to discuss the relationship between media and dance. The partnership between TikTok and OnDance2023 promises to bring dance to an even wider audience and to continue celebrating the art of dance in all its forms.
Roberto Bolle, creator and artistic director of OnDance, comments: “Dance is a universal heritage of humanity because it dialogues with our deepest essence. You just have to have the opportunity to get to know her, to approach her. I believe that every tool, every medium is useful and art is a good that is not lost with sharing, but that it is precisely with sharing that it is nourished, finds new life, regenerates itself. This of OnDance will be a special edition, particularly “open” and visionary. Its live nature will be enhanced by television and for the first time we will also have a series of initiatives designed specifically for TikTok which I am particularly happy about. I’m sure that the beauty and educational values of dance can be good content that can fascinate your young followers. And then I discovered that there are millions of memes and #s about me here, it’s about time I proposed some of them myself!”.
