Apple announced its new iPhone line for 2023: here are all the new features (from features to price) you need to know about iPhone 15 e iPhone 15 Plus. iPhone 15 is the protagonist of the evening in Cupertino, with Tim Cook and the Apple team which presented all the new features of the series. Which inherits some features from the Pro and Pro Max series, but which also debuts some new features on an iPhone. In particular, the presence of a USB-C port, one of the features we expected to see at Apple Park this year.
The new line maintains the double format seen last year: a “basic” model and a Plus version, with the largest screen diagonal. But otherwise, there are several important changes.
What’s new: USB-C, Dynamic Island and more
Many new features that Apple brings to the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus, starting with some of the most popular features last year on the Pro models. In particular, comes the Dynamic Island: no more notches for the camera. You will be able to use all the advanced features already seen on last year’s Pro and Pro Max. And you can enjoy Dynamic Island on a screen that reaches 2000 nits of brightness.
The arrival of one is also excellent 48MP camera, which allows you to greatly improve photographic performance and video shooting. Portraits are also much improved, in which you can also change the focus after taking the photograph thanks to the digital intelligence of the iPhone 15 camera. Another feature coming from the iPhone 14 Pro is the chip: the new A16 allows excellent performance, with the 6-core CPU it allows you to balance better performance and a battery that lasts all day. But there are also other innovations, such as the second generation Ultra Wideband chip which makes NameDrop even easier and the possibility of finding your devices – or those of your friends with iPhone, in crowded places.
Speaking of crowded places: Voice Focus mode allows you to focus only on your voice during calls, making them easier. If you’re in the middle of nowhere, you can use the Emergency SOS introduced last year on the iPhone Pro and Pro Max (and you’ll get two free years of satellite services.
But Apple leaves the absolute novelty at the bottom: l’USB-C. Apple uses this port in many products: today the iPhone 15 and AirPods Pro will also use this innovation. One charger for everything.
