The new S9 chip SiP, developed in Cupertino, has 5.6 billion transistors and has 30% better graphics performance. Furthermore, Apple ensures that the machine learning functions are twice as effective. All this, with a battery that promises to last all day.
It also improves dictation with Siri, which in Series 9 integrates with Apple Health (for the moment only in English and Mandarin Chinese, but soon also in other languages). So you can ask Siri for health and workout information directly. And all the Siri computation will take place on the device.

Sustainability at its core: Apple’s first carbon neutral product
Attention also to sustainability (Apple even invited Mother Nature to Cupertino to talk about it). The aluminum in the Apple Watch Series 9 is all recycled, but Apple has said that 100% of the energy used to produce the Apple Watch is green (and it will offset the energy we use to recharge them by investing in environmental projects). While also reducing transportation emissions, it reduced emissions by 78%. Apple then compensated for the missing emissions, making Apple Watch Series 9 Apple’s first carbon neutral product.
Apple also introduced straps made of “FineWoven,” a new fiber that reduces emissions in manufacturing. Even for collaborations with Hermes and Nike, Apple has focused attention on sustainability with recycled materials that produce fewer carbon emissions.
Apple Watch Ultra 2: even brighter
If the Apple Watch Series 9 is the brightest smart watch around, the Watch Ultra 2 beats it: it even reaches 3000 nits. But this will not affect the battery, which it will reach 36 hours and up to 72 in energy saving mode.

The new Ultra Modular watch face for Apple Watch Ultra offers a detailed view of real-time data, such as seconds, altitude or depth, using the outer edge of the screen.
Apple Watch Ultra 2 is designed to withstand the most extreme conditions, with tests covering a wide range of altitudes, from 500 meters below sea level up to 9,000 meters in the mountains. It is also ideal for extreme water sports and supports recreational diving up to 40 meters, including freediving, thanks to the Huish Outdoors Oceanic+ app.
Furthermore, the app Built-in depth allows users to record dive sessionsee to analyze data directly on Apple Watch Ultra or on the Fitness app on iPhone, offering a complete view of your diving activities.
