The brand isn’t just celebrating its anniversary. Goodram has triumphed in the domestic memory market for several consecutive quarters; capturing an impressive 35% share in the DRAM segment and even 25% in the SSD market. The history of Silesian memories dates back to 1991. That’s when Wilk Elektronik SA, which owns the Goodram brand, started its business
It initially focused only on distributing memory modules. Then the dynamic development, the prominent position on the Polish market and the specialized knowledge soon made it possible to open its own factory and produce modules signed with the Goodram logo. The offer soon expanded to include flash cards and USB flash drives and, with the development of new technologies, also to SSDs.
Goodram Company Anniversary Details
On the occasion of the anniversary, it is impossible not to mention the milestones of Goodram’s history. These significantly influenced the shape of the products and the expansion of the brand, which for many years surpassed the European market. Among the most important turning points: the establishment of a close technological collaboration with the global semiconductor giant Kioxia (before 2019, Toshiba Memory), a giant of the semiconductor market.
This strategic partnership allowed the Polish brand to include the aforementioned Flash solutions in its portfolio. The growth of the product range and the expansion into more export markets have made it necessary to further develop and increase production capacity. In 2013, Wilk Elektronik has invested more than 1 million euros in the development of an SMT linethus increasing efficiency, production precision and quality.
It is undeniable that, together with the development of the company in the following years, this was a key investment for the Polish manufacturer. Currently, Wilk Elektronik is completing the modernization of the only computer memory factory in Europe, which began in 2021. The gigantic investment includes the expansion of the company’s entire infrastructure, from warehouse, production and offices, to new solutions in the technology sectors.
Goodram offers solutions not only for home and office applications, but also industrial memories or for high-tech servers. All this would not be possible if it were not for the specialized personnel, modern machinery and rigorous quality control of the finished products. Over 500 test platforms they allow us to validate all the memories produced in Łaziskawhich undeniably distinguishes the Polish manufacturer from competitors from the Far East.
