Next year Apple will throw Vision Probut according to the latest rumors he is already thinking about his future in augmented and virtual reality: he is already working on Vision Lite e Vision Pro 2.
Apple Vision Lite and Vision Pro 2, Apple’s AR future
Supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo recently shared some predictions regarding Apple’s anticipated mixed reality headset. Vision Pro, which is expected to debut in early 2024 at price of $3,500, aroused great curiosity. But it appears there are some challenges ahead.
One of the key points according to Kuo concerns the shipments of the Vision Pro in its first year of availability. The analyst predicts that they will be below market expectationswith a maximum production capacity estimated at between 400,000 and 600,000 units, instead of the expected one million.
Previously, there had been discussions about the possibility of Apple launching a cheaper version of the Vision Pro, commonly referred to as “Lite”. However, Kuo suggests that this plan may have been canceled, at least for now. This is because Apple would have to significantly reduce the price of the Vision Pro to make it more accessible to the public.
Kuo also says that the successor to the Apple Vision Pro, known as Vision Pro 2, it won’t arrive until the second half of 2027. This suggests that the device presented in June 2023 could remain the main hardware for several years.
It therefore seems that expectations for the Apple Vision Pro are high, but its implementation and commercial success may take some time. And this could mean that, for some time, Apple won’t launch another augmented reality headset.
