Samsung could launch its own service cloud gaming as early as this week. The South Korean company, however, unlike the giants of the sector, would aim for mobile onlyand not to games on consoles and PCs.
For those who are not accustomed to the world of video games, cloud gaming means the ability to play video games via streaming, without the need to physically install the titles on your devices. It’s a bit like Netflixwhich allows you to enjoy films and TV series without having to download them to your device.
What we know about Samsung’s cloud gaming
According to reports from the Korea Economic Daily, Samsung will launch the beta version of its game streaming service as early as this week, on the occasion of the Samsung Developer Conference 2023 scheduled for October 5th.
At the moment there are very few certainties, except that the new service will focus solely on mobile games. There will therefore be no direct competition with giants like Nvidia GeForce Now e Microsoft Xbox Cloud.
The new service should be available directly within the application Game Launcher pre-installed on Galaxy smartphones and tablets. If this rumor were to be confirmed, it would mean that the service will be free for all owners of Galaxy devices.
However, the mystery remains regarding the titles that will be present in the catalogue. Sammobile.com, taking up the testimonies of some users who had access to the beta, reports that the current catalog includes seven Playrix e Snow Print Studios.
