The Milan Games Week & Cartoomics returns this week, from 24 to 26 November 2023, in the spaces of Rho Fiera Milano. There will be new and creative proposals for video game enthusiasts. As every year, IDEAthe association representing the video game industry in Italy, organizes a series of meetings with the protagonists of the sector. The objective is to enhance best practices, news and market trends.

Furthermore, it will be possible to access the area throughout the weekend Indie Dungeon, located in the pad. 13. Here visitors will be able to discover up close the ten Italian studios selected by IIDEA for the most important showcase of independent video games made in Italy. Dreambits Studio con War of Wheels, Hexagony con OveRRooT, Horns Level Up con Spirits of Baciu. NonStudio con Handmancers, Holy Reason con HORSES, Studio Kodama con Ryoko, The Forge of the Grand Duchy con Sir Galgano – A Medieval Tale, Void Pointer con Dino Path Trail. And finally Volcanite Games con Gambit Shifter e Liver con Monkey Ballin’ Mayhem.

Below is the IIDEA program, all events will be held at the Central Stage located in Hall 13.
Friday 24 November
- The talk will be held at 2.30pm Games in Italy: Storm in a Teacup – Steel Seed an opportunity to dive into the creative vision of the new action stealth adventure game by Storm in a Teacup, together with Carlo Ivo Alimo Bianchi, CEO & Game Director Storm in a Teacup.
- At 6.45pm the students will be assigned Italian Esports Awards, during a ceremony hosted by Bryan Ronzani, – radio speaker, presenter of the major esports and gaming events in Italy and founder of The Box, the first lateshow on Twitch. The dragon tail-shaped statuette will be awarded to the winners of 8 categories: Best Italian Competitive Team: award for the best Italian esports team; Best Italian Player: award for the best Italian competitive player or the best Italian competitive player; Best Italian Organization: award for the best esports organization at Italian level; Best Italian Caster: award for the best Italian cast; Best Italian Event: award for the best Italian event (physical or digital); Best Italian Commercial Activation: award for the best Italian commercial activation in the esports field; Best Italian Content Creator: award for the best Italian Content Creator; Esports Game of the Year: award for the best esports title at an international level.

- It is expected at 10.30am Games in Italy: Milestone – Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 a meeting to explore, together with Andrea Basilio, Head of Game Design & Associate Creative Director, how the sequel to a highly successful title is created.
Sunday 26 November
- It is scheduled for 10.30am Games in Italy: Memorable Games – On Your Tail which, instead, will focus on the development of an open world narrative sandbox for Nintendo Switch, thanks to the intervention of Mauro Fanelli, Creative Director and CEO of Memorable Games, and Imma Botti, Art Director of Memorable Games.
