The Italian Association of Content & Digital Creators (AICDC) raised a request to the Parliament et al Government for creating one law that regulates and protects the sector, which has long remained without an adequate regulatory system.
Content and Digital Creators: a law is needed to protect the sector
The request comes from Sara ZanotelliPresident of the Association, during the inaugural event “C for economy – The content creator: a future that is already present”. The event marked the official birth of the Association, with the participation of the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure Matteo Salvini.
Zanotelli underlined the need for a legislative proposal to address the need of a emerging sector which requires clear and defined rules. There creator economyhas more than 350,000 professionals and has an estimated potential turnover of 2.55 billion euros, according to I-Com estimates.
The event underlined the need to introduce a ethical codeproposed by the AICDC, which aims to oversee potentially harmful implications, in particular for most vulnerable categories. This code, developed with the contribution of all associated professionals, establishes guidelines to comply with.
Sara Zanotelli highlighted the importance of meeting with the institutions to start a ethical and legislative debate on the professionalization of the category. Mauri Valente, Vice President of the Association, underlined how the Association is not only aimed at influencer and you have digital creativesbut also to the entire ecosystem that orbits this sector, including managers and agencies.
The event also announced the creation of theObservatory on the Creator Economy in collaboration with I-Com, LUISS and other entities. It aims to analyze the economic and employment impact of the digital content creator market in Italy. To also provide further information to the legislator, so as to be able to better regulate this sector.
