All the announcements from the latest Xbox Developer Direct

The new one was held last night Xbox Developer Direct, with numerous announcements regarding the future of games on Microsoft consoles (and beyond). The evening, which as usual we followed live on our Twitch channel, showed us several trailers of highly anticipated games (above all Hellblade 2), but also unexpected news, such as the new game dedicated to Indiana Jones.

So let’s go and see all the announcements (and trailers) showcased during last evening’s Xbox Developer Direct event.

Xbox Developer Direct: All announcements and trailers

Avowed

The evening opened with an in-depth look at the development of the highly anticipated event Avowed (among the most anticipated games of 2024). Developed with Unreal Engine 5 from the end of Obsidian, Avowed presents itself as a fantasy-tinged action RPG, which puts the player’s choices at the center of the story. The Developer Direct also delved into the combat system, which showcased some of the magical abilities the player will be able to use in battle.

Exit date: Avowed will arrive in fall, on an unspecified date, for Xbox Series X|S and PC. From day one also on Xbox Game Pass.

Senua’s Saga – Hellblade II

The in-depth analysis revealed to us the meticulous care with which the team Ninja Theory is dealing with the history of Iceland, which will be the backdrop to the game. In reality, there are two big news from the Developer Direct: the game will only be released in digital format (at the price of €49.99) and will last between 7 and 9 hours of play.

Exit date: Hellblade II will be released on 21 maggio 2024 on Xbox Series X|S and PC. From day one also on Game Pass.

Visions of Mana

SQUARE ENIX was also present and presented Visions of Mana, new chapter of the franchise that returns after 15 years of silence. The new game, presented by producer Masaru Oyamada, presents itself as an RPG full of fantastic animals (and where to find them).

Exit date: Visions of Mana is coming in estate, on an unspecified date, on Xbox Series X|S and PC. It will also be available on PlayStation family consoles.

ARA: History Untold

About halfway through the evening, Oxide Games presented its new historical strategy game to the public, which will only be available for PC. From the most ancient civilizations to the contemporary era, the player will be able to follow the development of his own people, with decidedly advanced features. In short, a title that promises to bring strategy games to a new level.

Exit date: ARA: History Untold is coming in autumn, on an unspecified date, only for PC. From day one also in the PC Game Pass catalogue.

Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle

The evening closed with an in-depth look at Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, the new game from MachineGames (Bethesda) about the most popular archaeologist in history. The Developer Direct showed us 13 minutes of gameplay.

According to what Bethesda itself told, this adventure yes develops between Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade. We players will take on the role of Indiana Jones, exploring different places from the Vatican to Egypt, passing through the temples of Sukhothai in Thailand. And we will have to solve puzzles and face rivals, through battles and stealth modes, to complete the mission.

The official description of the game reads:

Unravel one of history’s greatest mysteries in Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle, a single-player first-person adventure set between the events of Raiders of the Lost Ark™ and The Last Crusade. The year is 1937. Sinister forces scour the world to discover the secret of an ancestral power connected to the ancient Circle, and only one person can stop them: Indiana Jones. Take on the role of the legendary archaeologist in this cinematic action-packed adventure developed by MachineGames, the award-winning studio behind the recent Wolfenstein series, and produced by acclaimed game creator Todd Howard.

Exit date: Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle is coming during 2024, on an unspecified date, for Xbox Series X|S and PC. From day one also on Game Pass.
