Apple would be ready to launch new models iPad Air, iPad Pro e MacBook Air in the spring of this year, ahead of the WWDC 2024 annual conference in June. No revolution in design or specifications, but updates to make the devices more performing. Especially for iPad Pro, which is expected to have an OLED panel.
Apple will launch iPad Air, iPad Pro, MacBook Air in spring
According to information from Mark Gurman at Bloomberg (via MacRumors), Apple should launch the new features as early as March or April. They will therefore arrive after the launch of Vision Pro, while attention will then shift to the annual Apple WWDC developer conference in June.
The next iPad Air is expected to have a display of 10.9 inches and 12.9 inches. It will use the chips M2 from Apple for faster performance, a redesigned rear camera will have support Wi-Fi 6E e Bluetooth 5.3. No significant changes are expected to the external design for this device which will debut almost exactly two years after the model with the M1 chip.
The upcoming iPad Pro models from 11 and 13 inches they will probably be the first iPads with a display OLED, for higher contrast and lower power consumption than models with LCD panels. The move to OLED could lead to a price increase, according to Gurman. They will have the chip M3 on Applericarica wireless MagSafeit’s a Magic Keyboard redesigned with a larger trackpad.
For MacBook Air, the next models from 13 and 15 inches they will have M3 chips and they will get the Hardware-accelerated ray tracing and themesh shading for improved graphics rendering in games. No significant design changes, but support should be coming for Wi-Fi 6E.
All devices updated with new chips and, in the case of the iPad Pro, a new display. “Simple” announcements from Apple, which will already innovate a lot in the first half of the year with the launch of Vision Pro and the WWDC.
