Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly, Ogerpon, Terapagos, Koraidon and Miraidon: we help you with the Pokémon from the Super Smash Bros Ultimate event

Welcome back to the third and completely unexpected one guide from 2024 to Super Smash Bros Ultimatenell’event dedicated to “New Pokémon Discovered!” from Scarlet and Violet. We talk, as has been happening on a bi-weekly basis for a month now, about Spirits unreleased for the game, after “New Faces!” and “Sentinels, Gods and Baseball.” This time, the Spirits will be quattro: a battle will be dedicated to the starters Sprigatito, Fuecoco e Quaxlythe second one we will describe will deal with the clash with Ogerponlater we will see how to get the better of it Terapagos and, finally, the only Legend-class: the difficult battle against Koraidon e Miraidon. To find out what to do against Squirtle, Ivysaur and Charizard, we have a specific episode of the guide.

Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly | Super Smash Bros Ultimate Pokémon Spirits Guide

The starters of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are the first we will see in Super Smash Bros Ultimate and they are Sprigatito, Fuecoco e Quaxly. It’s a fight really simple: you will have to defeat an Ivysaur, a Kirby and a Squirtle and the designated arena will be Delfinia (without danger, and therefore in a static version). The reason why Kirby will take Fuecoco’s place is his hammering: to keep faith with the reference element, in fact, all three will use their side special attack (↔+B). It goes without saying that, at least for the first three battles in this guide, playing it safe with Akuma is more than enough. On to the next one: the weekend’s troubles for Masahiro Sakurai’s gigantic fighting game are very different.

Ogerpon | Super Smash Bros Ultimate Pokémon Spirits Guide

The only Energy Mode battle among the four is the versus one Ogerpon, the “venerable ogre” (to the Venetians who are reading: no jokes!) from La Maschera Turchese. You will face four Incineroar in sequence, and the designated arena will be Tortimer Island. The first will wield a Fire Bar, the second will repel projectiles with a Franklin Medal, the third will be metallic While the last one will not have any power-ups. All four have sixty life points and none of them pose any real threat. You will be able to overwhelm them one by one with brute force without a particular strategy: it is the penultimate of the four battles of the event that has the slightest semblance of simplicity.

Terapagos | Super Smash Bros Ultimate Pokémon Spirits Guide

The legend of The Indigo Disk and eponymous Treasure of Area Zero, Terapagosconsists of a fight against tre Squirtle in rapid succession. The theater of the clash will be the Fountain of Dreams. Replicating the battle with Terapagos at the end of the DLC (uhh… spoilers, we guess?), the first will be a Squirtle normalthe second will be metallic and the third will be enlarged and golden. If you remember the episode of the scenario guide dedicated to Golden Pastures, you will remember that the “gold” status adds a high attack power to the resistance of the steel transformation. Other than that, you shouldn’t have any problems whatsoever. We used Sora, but anyone has an automatic KO Final Smash above 100% (eats Zelda) has a potential ace up the sleeve.

Koraidon and Miraidon | Super Smash Bros Ultimate Pokémon Spirits Guide

And here the trouble begins. Contrary to all predictions, the only Spirits of Legend class I am Koraidon e Miraidon, respective cover legends for Scarlet and Violet. These are a Charizard and a Ridley. The arena is one electrified version of Final Destination, which is why you will need it instead of Akuma a supportive Spirit with insulating qualitiesas the Dr. Light. Both opponents will be a thorn in your side, especially with Samus’ screw attack supplied at the start of the fight. Despite Ridley’s intricate moves (↔+B first and foremost), Charizard will be your biggest problem: hits like a train. Once you get rid of a random one of the two, however, the rest of the battle will become considerably easier.

Limited time… more or less!

You will have time until eight in the morning on Monday 12 February to make new Pokémon yours in the Spirit Board of Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Now that the harvest is on quota 1524However, we would like to tell you one thing: we have already seen the Sentinels from the previous event on our Board in the past few days. We don’t know whether to attribute this to the fact of having obtained the Spirit in question, but in the worst case scenario a couple of months after the guide was written they should all enter the regular rotation. We are similarly unaware of when the new content will end, but until then we plan to provide you with the right suggestions to prevail. Happy hunting to all of you!
