Design
Although he decides not to overdo it in terms of originality, the design of the EZVIZ RE4 robot is minimalist and elegant and above all, made of excellent materials. Its small dimensions (35 cm in diameter, 9.5 cm in height) make it perfect for moving easily under furniture and reaching the most hidden corners of your home.
On top of the robot, an elegant black panel houses the LDS LiDAR laser sensor, the power button and a double LED indicator that provides information on the robot’s status. At the bottom instead we find the lateral rotating brush (located on the right), the central brush and the suction nozzle. The central brush is easily removable for cleaning, while the side brush is very soft, designed not to damage floors and guide dust and similar towards the center of the robot.
A water tank (300 ml) extractable is positioned on the back of the robot and “embraces” the one dedicated to dust. The tank is easily accessible and can be filled with water and detergent in seconds. We obviously also find the charging base which reflects the colors and design of the robot.
Technology
Cutting to the chase, this robot boasts a suction power of 4000Pa, which results in truly effective cleaning of any type of surface, from hard floors to carpets. For the latter, the robot automatically increases its suction power after detecting an area covered by carpet or rugs.
As anticipated, the EZVIZ RE4 is not only a vacuum cleaner, but also a floor cleaner. Thanks to 300ml tankyou can add some water to get a floor that is not only dust-free, but also clean.
The laser navigation it is precise and reliable, allowing the robot to move with agility throughout the house and create a detailed map of the environment. In fact, the EZVIZ RE4 boasts aintegration of LDS LiDAR technology together with infrared detectors which allow him to avoid obstacles and wash the floor strategically following the most efficient route. In this way, it is possible to customize cleaning, creating virtual areas to exclude or scheduling the cleaning of specific rooms.
The EZVIZ application
Speaking of which, the EZVIZ RE4 is also compatible with the EZVIZ application.
L’app EZVIZ eh really intuitive and allows you to control the robot completely. You can schedule cleaning, set the vacuum or mopping mode, monitor the robot’s battery and status, and much more. Furthermore, the robot is compatible with Alexa e Google Assistant, for even smarter control.
Through the app we will also be able to monitor the robot maintenance and its accessories, program any intelligent scenarios, map our home, select prohibited areas and much more. Using the application is not essential to start using the robot but it will certainly allow you to exploit its full potential 100%.
Our test of the EZVIZ RE4 robot
For this review, we tested the robot EZVIZ RE4 for about 3 weeks. During the test we used it daily both for vacuuming and for floor washing and we were really amazed. Not so much for the actual performance of the robot but for what it can do at a cost of just €350.
Her compact dimensions they make it perfect for moving under furniture and reaching the most hidden corners of the house. The elegant and modern design adapts perfectly to any decor although we would have liked to find some aesthetic innovations.
The suction power is really high and easily captures dust, pet hair and debris of all kinds. There washing function It’s a plus that we really appreciated though the unusual arrangement of the tanks did not convince us. In this version, the water and dust tank fit inside each other. Although it is a versatile choice from a logistical point of view, which protects us from the annoying practice of removing/installing several tanks, having dust and water so close is never a winning choice. The risk of having to deal with a homemade “mappazzone” is high.
On the contrary, the Laser navigation is precise and the robot moves nimbly throughout the house, avoiding obstacles and stairs. Added to this is the always very useful EZVIZ application, intuitive and easy to use which will allow you to have complete access to the robot.
The EZVIZ RE4 robot cleaner review in brief
€350 is a truly competitive price for a robot of this level (without an automatic emptying base) and honestly, it should require a few euros more. As consumers, however, we can only be happy with the quality-price ratio and with what this EZVIZ RE4 manages to do.
Ultimately, EZVIZ RE4 is a robot vacuum cleaner and floor cleaner with an elegant and compact design, which combines excellent performance with extreme ease of use.
