Pixel 8athe new mid-range smartphone from Googleis getting closer to its official debut, scheduled for Google I/O May. Various rumors and images leaked online allow us to get a more precise idea of what to expect from this device.
Pixel 8a: bright colors and an already familiar design
The latest images released online reveal the four colors that will be available for Pixel 8a: Obsidian (a dark, almost black shade), Mint (a green access), Porcelain (white) e Bay (a dark blue). It is a lively and captivating palette, which takes up and reworks some of the shades already seen on previous Pixels, such as the Mint green of the Pixel 6a and the Bay blue of the Pixel 8 Pro.
As for the design, no major changes emerge from the images compared to what has already been seen with the Pixel 7a. The smartphone is expected to sport a 6.1-inch display with 120Hz refresh rate and will be powered by the processor Tensor G3the same one that equips the high-end Pixel 8.
Cameras and batteries: confirmations and possible surprises
On the photographic front, the rumors speak of a rear compartment with 64 megapixel main sensor and a 13-megapixel wide-angle sensor, a configuration very similar to that of the Pixel 7a.
It is not excluded, however, that Google could reserve some surprises in this area, perhaps introducing new software features or improving the performance of the sensors already present. The battery should have a capacity of 4,500 mAhthus guaranteeing good autonomy of use.
Pixel 8a: price still uncertain
Il launch price of Pixel 8a is still shrouded in mystery. Some rumors suggest that it could be slightly higher than the Pixel 7a, but we will have to wait for Google I/O in May to have an official confirmation. However, Google could offset a possible upside with software or hardware improvements not yet revealedwhich could make the Pixel 8a an even more interesting option than its predecessor.
