The new MediaTek Dimensity 6300, the mid-range SoC for 5G smartphones, has been officially presented, let's find out together
MediaTek continues to expand its chipset lineup with the launch of the Dimensity 6300a mid-range SoC that is positioned as the successor to the Dimensions 6100+. Officially unveiled in early 2024, the Dimensity 6300 focuses on increased CPU performance and improved power efficiency, while maintaining the same architecture as its predecessor.
MediaTek Dimensity 6300: processor and graphics
Dimensity 6300 boasts a CPU octa-core a 6nm composed of two Cortex-A76 cores overclocked at 2.4 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2 GHz. This configuration provides a 10% increase in overall performance compared to the Dimensity 6100+, according to MediaTek.
The GPU Mali-G57 MC2 remains unchanged, still offering adequate graphics performance for the mid-range target. The new Dimensity also supports memories RAM LPDDR4x e storage UFS 2.2ensuring sufficiently fast and smooth data transfer speeds.
MediaTek Dimensity 6300: display, cameras and connectivity
The SoC supports displays with resolutions up to 1080 x 2520 pixels and maximum refresh rate of 120Hz, offering a smooth and immersive viewing experience. As for cameras, the Dimensity 6300 allows the use of main sensors of up to 108MP, guaranteeing detailed and sharp images even in low light conditions.
The Dimensity 6300 integrates a modem 5G compliant with the 3GPP Release 16 standard, ensuring 5G connectivity fast and reliable. It also supports Wi-Fi 5 dual-band (a/b/g/n/ac) and Bluetooth 5.2 for complete connectivity.

For mobile gaming enthusiasts, the Dimensity 6300 integrates technologies MediaTek HyperEnginewhich offer a series of advantages:
