A photographer used AI to grow his Instagram profile and increase his followers

Jos Avery has admitted that he lied to his more than 27,000 followers. In fact, during an interview with Arstechinca, Avery himself admitted that he had used theIA generative Midjourney to bring his portraits to life. The generated images were then retouched in “post production” to make them even more fascinating and attract an increasing number of users.

Retouching via Photoshop e Lightroom, Avery points out, required a lot of work to transform AI-generated portraits into images that could be passed off as photo shoots for sharing on Instagram. The same user admitted to having lied several times, declaring to his users that he used professional cameras for his shots of him.

Avery did however point out that the creative process (related to the choice and retouching of the image) remains in the hands of the human photographer and certainly not the AI. You can take a look at the averyseasonart Instagram profile to find out more.
