During the Summer Game Fest 2022, which was held last night, various interesting titles were unveiled. Despite some leaks that preceded the start of the event – including the one concerning the remake di The Last of Us – there were however some particular surprises. Let’s find out together.
The announcements of the Summer Game Fest 2022
Over the years we have seen various titles inspired by the famous Alien saga and, just last night, a new title made its appearance. We actually don’t know much about it Aliens: Dark Descentthe new chapter in the newly announced franchise (presumably unrelated to Frictional’s Amnesia: The Dark Descent).
Developer Tindalos Interactive describes it as a team action game in which a group of Colonial Marines against the xenomorph it’s a new unknown enemy. The game is scheduled to release on 2023 su PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One e PC.
The Callisto Protocol
We have already seen a trailer of The Callisto Protocola new title survival horror made by Striking Distance Studios, whose members worked on the original Dead Space. However last night’s event allowed us to take a closer look at the gameplay.
The project seems to pick up heavily lo stile survival horror di Dead Space, complete with sticky monsters, an interesting weapon and gruesome death animations for the character. As previously announced, the title will be released on December 2, 2022.
Fort Solis
The famous video game voice actors Troy Baker e Roger Clark of Red Dead Redemption 2 will lend their voices to Fort Solis, a game just announced by the independent studio Fallen Leaf. Baker describes Fort Solis as a “tight thriller” and a game in which “Dead Space Meets Moon by Duncan Jones”.
Apparently it is a narrative game fast-paced and set in a remote mining outpost Martian. At the moment we don’t have an official release date but the title will be released on PC via Steam.
Routine is shown at the Summer Game Fest 2022
Routine first appeared in 2012, promising a ‘disconcerting atmosfera horror on a spaceship populated by dangerous robots. It was then postponed from year to year as a relatively inexperienced team tried to complete it. Now a new trailer; according to what was revealed, the title will arrive on PC, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One e Xbox Game Pass.
We currently don’t have an official release date.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns
Marvel’s Midnight Suns by Firaxis Games was announced last year at Gamescom, and we now have an official release date: October 7, 2022. In case you forgot, this is a tactical role-playing game set in the “darker side of the Marvel Universe”. Above you can see the new launch trailer.
Naughty Dog is working on a new project
As we mentioned earlier, the great news of Naughty Dog was leaked just before the Summer Game Fest: the September 2, 2022 will come out a remake di The Last of Us Part I per PlayStation 5 it’s a PC version is under development.
However, the company has announced a new project. It is a game focused on multiplayerlarge courses, which will boast a one “very unique” story for the game. As described by the Naughty Dog co-chair, Neil Druckmanthe project was born as modalità multiplayer di The Last of Us Part II. Then it was expanded in a game of its own, still unnamed. A conceptual image suggests that it will be set in one Post-apocalyptic San Francisco and will feature “a brand new cast of characters”.
