After announcing a revolution in the PlayStation Plus service, the company’s CEO promises great games in the catalog.
PlayStation Plus will host the best games on the market
Just last week we told you about the important changes to which the service Playstation Plus is going to meet. Since the announcement, all subscribers have asked themselves a question: “which games will be featured in the new catalog?”. We know in fact that the higher (and more expensive) subscription level will include up to 740 titlesincluding games originally released for PlayStation, PS2 and PSP.
The answer came directly from Jim Ryan, CEO of Playstation, in a podcast of the company. VGC reports that Ryan responded by stating: “We have all the big names in attendance. Of course we will have PlayStation Studios. But we are receiving support from many publishers “.
After the official announcement, we know that triple-A titles like Returnal and God of War have already been confirmed. The doubt, however, mainly concerns the games available from Day One. In fact, Ryan had expressed skepticism in the past regarding the release of PlayStation Studios titles from day one on the service. This new statement could instead suggest a turnaround.
In the podcast Ryan explained that “we have big publishers and we have small independent publishers. We also have over 200 partners working with us to bring their content to PlayStation Plus, so the offer is going to be really broad. ”
We just have to wait then. The new service will be released in the summer for the Asian market, and will arrive in Europe later this year.
