Xiaomi Civi is the new smartphone series that will debut on September 27 in China: the manufacturer anticipated the new range a few hours ago creating not a few expectations about the upcoming models. The design glimpsed from the advances of Xiaomi promises really well, with a clean and fascinating aesthetic: there everything we know so far about Xiaomi Civi.
Xiaomi Civi, what we know about the new range of smartphones
Xiaomi Civi, the new smartphone series of the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, will debut on September 27 and should take the place of the Xiaomi CC series, in Italy Xiaomi Mi Note, dating back to 2019. The company, before the launch, shared a video and posters on the Chinese social network Weibo, revealing the design of one of the phones in the range. Obviously we have to wait for the official presentation to discover the other models and the precise characteristics, but we already have some previews about it.
The poster and teaser shared by the company on Weibo suggest that the Civi could be equipped with three rear cameras. Also, there appears to be one USB Type-C port, a speaker grille, a hole for the main microphone and a SIM card slot at the bottom of the phone. A secondary microphone hole is visible on the top of the Xiaomi Civi smartphone, along with an IR blaster and a speaker grille.
Also a few hours ago Ice Universe, on Twitter, showed some images of what should be the Xiaomi Civi smartphone coming out in 2021. He calls it the most beautiful smartphone of Xiaomi this year, and we struggle to blame him. It has really minimal and elegant lines.
The specifications of the smartphone
The exact specifications of the series are obviously not yet known. But an image of the box that has emerged online looks thinner than the traditional ones: according to Gizmochina, the Xiaomi Civi box could not contain a charger. The magazine, however, also suggests that Xiaomi could release another variant with a bundled charger.
Recent reports have suggested that a Xiaomi phone with a model number 2107119DC has been spotted on the Chinese TENAA list. This is said to be the first model in the Xiaomi Civi series. The TENAA listing also showed some similarities to the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE which launched globally last week – it features a 90Hz AMOLED display; three rear cameras; Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC and a 4,250 mAh battery. The next Xiaomi Civi is expected to have similar features.
Xiaomi has already announced that the launch of Xiaomi Civi will take place at 2:00 pm local time 8:00 in Italy, from Monday 27 September. All that remains is to wait for Monday to discover the official information of this new smartphone – or more than one – belonging to the Civi range: expectations are really high.
