When it comes to online shopping, in particular, the advice of loved ones is very useful but it can be complicated to keep track of everyone’s opinions across various social and messaging platforms. The data confirms that, in 2023, customers clicked billions of times on “Share” in the Amazon shopping app to share products through messages, social media and email.

How to use the new feature
Using the “Ask a friend” feature is simple and intuitive: just select a product for which you want to consult another person and click on “Share“. For the first use it is necessary to activate the “Ask your friends for votes“, changing the default setting from “off” to “on”. After that, just select your favorite messaging application and recipients.
Friends will receive an invitation message containing a link which will give them direct access to the Amazon shopping app, where they will be able to view all the product details and quickly share their opinion by choosing from three different emojis, as well as the possibility of adding specific comments.
Once everyone has responded, it will be possible to conveniently view the most popular opinion and scroll to see the comments, one by one, within the app. A new shared shopping experience to always be sure to take the right decision.
