Amazon announces the arrival on Fire TV Streaming Audio for Hearing Aids (ASHA)by connecting the Fire TV Cubes with a system Cochlear to help those living with a hearing impairment. This will allow sound to be transmitted directly to a hearing system.

The new second and third generation Fire TV Cubes are ASHA-enabled and can therefore help people with hearing impairments listen to their best. According to WHO, they are over 1.5 billion people live with hearing loss. But on the other side, by 2026 51% of all households in the world will have a smart TV. We therefore need a technology that allows people with hearing loss to enjoy the service.
Cochlear and Amazon then set up direct streaming from the Fire TV to processori audio Cochlear Nucleus 8, Nucleus 7, Nucleus Kanso 2 e Baha 6 Max.
This gives you the ability to listen to your favorite streaming apps, as well as use Alexa, navigate, listen to music. Everything becomes more accessible: just go to the Fire TV settingschoose Accessibility and then hearing aids, then follow the instructions on the screen.
This is just the latest of the options that Amazon has brought up Fire TV for accessibility. There are also closed captions, the VoiceView to read the screen as you go through the settings, the text banner showing descriptive text.
And then there magnifying glass for visually impaired users, audio descriptions for landscapes, scene changes and on-screen text. Plus, high-contrast text. Not to mention the convenience of using Alexa to turn on the TV and control it.
All features that allow everyone to enjoy the best entertainment.
