Calls for applications to the fourth edition of the scholarships “Amazon Women in Innovation“Were published on the websites of the Politecnico di Milano, the Politecnico di Torino, the University of Rome” Tor Vergata “and the University of Cagliari together with the procedures for applying and the deadline for submitting the application .
Calls for Amazon Women in Innovation are open
The scholarships are intended to incentivize and help deserving young women to pursue education and fulfill their ambition to work in the innovation and technology sector, as part of the Amazon Community program, to support the growth of new generations in the digital world.
Scholarship Amazon Women in Innovation consists of a loan of € 6,000 per year, renewable for three years, to four female students from the four Italian universities. The Universities will choose the winners on the basis of merit and income parameters, as specified in the calls for tenders. In addition to financially supporting the students, Amazon will provide a mentor, a manager of Amazon, to help develop skills useful for future work, such as techniques for creating an effective resume or interviewing for a job.
Turin – Polytechnic of Turin
To compete, candidates must have completed their first enrollment in the Italian university system in the academic year. 2021/2022 to the Degree Course in computer engineering or to the Degree Course in Computer Engineering at the Politecnico di Torino, having obtained at least 20 ECTS, useful for obtaining the degree, as of 26/02/2022 and having reported a weighted average of at least 24/30.
The application deadline is scheduled for 15 March 2022.

Milan – Milan Polytechnic
Students who, by the deadline of the call for applications, are enrolled for the first time in the academic year for the first time can participate in the competition. 2021/2022 to degree courses in Mathematical Engineering and in computer engineering of the Politecnico di Milano, have sustained and duly registered in their career at least 20 ECTS useful for obtaining the degree, have reported a weighted average of the exams useful for obtaining the degree of not less than 24/30.

Students who meet the following requirements at the deadline date of the call for scholarships can apply for the scholarship: they are enrolled for the first time in the academic year. 2021/2022 to the Degree Course in computer engineering or to the Degree Course in Internet engineering at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”; have obtained and duly recorded at least 18 ECTS, useful for obtaining the degree; have reported an average of the exams useful for the attainment of the title of not less than 26/30.
Students who have previously received sanctions following the presentation of false declarations aimed at obtaining benefits for the right to education or for which a disciplinary sanction has been paid are excluded from the selection referred to in this announcement.
Applications must reach the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” by March 9, 2022.

Cagliari – University of Cagliari
Students who, on the expiry date of the
are in possession of the following requirements: are enrolled for the first time in the academic year 2021/2022 at the University of Cagliari at the Degree Course in Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering, online and in person (blended); have obtained and duly recorded at least 17 ECTS, present in the study plan and useful for obtaining the degree by 11/03/2022; have reported a weighted average of the exams useful for obtaining the qualification of not less than 25/30. For the purpose of calculating the CFU, the integrated exams made up of several modules are valid if all the relative modules have been recorded.

Amazon in Milan, Turin, Rome and Cagliari
In Italy, Amazon has its corporate headquarters in Milano. From the building in Viale Monte Grappa 3/5, in the Porta Nuova business district, over 1,200 employees passionately manage a wide range of projects in some of the most interesting and innovative areas of technology. Also in Milan in April 2020 Amazon inaugurated the AWS Region in Italy (Milan) to support the recovery and growth of Italian companies and the digital transformation of our economy.
A Torino Amazon’s Italian Development Center is based, dedicated to research applied to the capabilities of artificial intelligence that allow natural and accurate interaction with Alexa. At the gates of Turin there are also the distribution center of Torrazza Piemonte and the sorting depots of Brandizzo and Grugliasco.
