The Nokia 5.3 receives the update ad Android 11, the most recent update of Google’s operating system (at least for a couple of months). The update comes in slight delay compared to the roadmap, which foresaw an arrival in the second quarter of 2021. Even if it will not arrive everywhere immediately.
Android 11 arrives on Nokia 5.3
Nokia 5.3 came out with the Android 10 operating system, based on Android One, which then should receive faster updates. So the delay in the release of this update may have displeased many buyers. There are now (perhaps less than) two months for the official arrival of Android 12, with Google already announcing the arrival of Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.
The Android One project makes it easier for manufacturers to update their devices. But despite this HMD Global and Nokia have taken their time for adapt the operating system to the device. The promise of updates for three years at least, however, it makes the pill less bitter: those who bought this smartphone will be able to see both Android 12 and probably 13.
The launch of the update at least initially will affect i Asian markets. Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Taiwan, Vietnam. All of these markets are expected to receive the OTA update by August 6th. For our country, the update should arrive shortly after the eastern launch, although still non has been confirmed by Nokia.
The update to Android 11 brings many interesting news, especially in the management of notifications but not only. Nokia 5.3 users will be able to get to know them in detail very soon.
