Apple today announced the third quarter 2022 reportreporting revenue from 83 billion dollars and profits of 19.4 billion dollars. The result is just above analysts’ expectations three months ago, who on average expected returns of $ 82.81 billion.

Compared to last year, Apple increased its revenues slightly (it was 81.42 billion dollars) but recorded worse profits, since last year in the same period they were $ 21.74 billion. This is due to higher costs due to supply chain problems.
The growth in terms of sales is there in regards iPhone, which with collections of 40.67 billion dollars it grows by 3% compared to last year. Instead Mac and iPad go down respectively 10% (7.38 billion) and 1.9% (7.22 billion). Last year the numbers were higher also due to purchases for smart working and distance learning.
The sale of wearable devices also fell by 7.8% (8.08 billion dollars), while revenues related to Apple services by 12%, totaling 19.60 billion.

And the CFO Luca Maestri points out, “During the quarter, we generated approximately $ 23 billion in operating cash and returns over $ 28 billion to our investorsand we continue to invest in our long-term growth plans ”.
