Today, Apple has started releasing the new versions of iOS and iPadOS. The OS of the iPhones and iPads now reach the version 15.4 introducing several new features that had already been anticipated by the various betas available for a few weeks. Here are the details:
Apple updates iOS and iPadOS
Among the main novelties of iOS is the possibility of use Face ID even with the mask. This function is available on the iPhone 12 and 13 and guarantees precise and safe recognition by concentrating the analysis no longer on the whole face but exclusively on the area where the mask is not present. As for iPadOS, however, the main novelty is represented by Universal Control, lA function that allows you to manage multiple iPads and Macs with the same combination of mouse and keyboard.
New voice for Siri
Also noteworthy is the new Siri voice for the US version of the voice assistant. This was recorded by “a member of the LGBTQ + community”. Among the other important innovations for iOS and iPad, with version 15.4 we note the debut of new emojis and a series of general optimization. The APIs necessary for the new Tap to Pay function are introduced, which will allow you to transform iPhones into POS.
