Apple releases iOS 17.0.3an update that fixes an annoying overheating problem that had affected iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max users. Additionally, the update addresses some critical security vulnerabilities, including one new zero-da flawy actively exploited against iPhone and iPad users.

According to online reports, the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max devices were becoming abnormally hot under certain workloads, causing excessive battery consumption. Apple quickly acknowledged the problem and promised to provide a fix through a software update.
Apple confirmed that The update fixes the iPhone overheating issue, bringing relief to users who had encountered this annoying inconvenience. The company had initially said that the problem stemmed from a bug in iOS 17 and some third-party apps, including Instagram, Uber and Asphalt 9.
In addition to the overheating fix, iOS 17.0.3 also addresses some notable security vulnerabilities. One of these is new zero-day vulnerability, a newly discovered security flaw that could allow a local attacker to elevate their privileges.
The update also addresses an issue related to WebRTCwhere a buffer overflow could allow arbitrary code execution.
iOS 17.0.3 is not the only update released by Apple. The company also made available iPadOS 17.0.3, which contains the same fixes and improvements for iPad users. To update iPhone, going to Settings > General > Software Update.
